HygieneAll students should practice good hygiene while they are in the studio. Parents, it is not too early to speak to your children about the importance of good hygiene.
All students should be wearing Deodorants/Antiperspirants! They are perspiring and it is offensive to other dancers and teachers when students have body odor.
ConductEvery student is expected to behave while in the facility in a disciplined and responsible manner, with respect to the teacher, stuff and fellow students.
The Academy reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student whose conduct, attendance or attitude is found to be unsatisfactory. We expect same behavior from parents and/or guardians.
Photo and video taking is strictly prohibited in the studios, unless given permission by the administration.
AttendanceIt is mandatory and necessary to attend all classes in order to make the learning process successful. The academy has the right to dismiss/suspend any student whose attendance is not satisfactory. Students should not leave on vacation during study or rehearsal period and must notify far in advance if valid circumstances exist.
PunctualityParents are urged to have their children on time for class: at least 10 minutes prior to scheduled class in order to dress up, fix their hair. It is disturbing to the entire class when another student arrives late. Also, to prevent injuries, beginning of the class is designed to warm up the muscles slowly. Students who are more than 10 minutes late may not be allowed to participate in class and they may only observe. Please cooperate in enforcing this! It is an essential part of the discipline of ballet.
School PerformancesOur Stage Performances are an overall result of the entire school year training process. High quality ballet training is not complete without stage performance practice, especially for students with serious intentions.
There are two mandatory performances which will take place in December and June. Extra rehearsals will be necessary and students will be required to attend all rehearsals (only with permission from the teacher will they be excused). Casting may be subject to student's previous attendance and ability to meet rehearsal schedule. Students missing more than two rehearsals will not be allowed to take part in the performance.
EvaluationsStudents will be evaluated at least twice a year. They might be placed in a different level depending on their progress, conduct and punctuality. Student placement is at the sole discretion of the Artistic Directors. A personal meeting with the parent and the student will be scheduled to discuss any disagreement.
