Our curriculum emphasizes classical ballet technique based upon internationally renowned Vaganova method that has produced some of the best dancers in the world, including Rudolph Nureyev, Natalia Makarova, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Alla Osipenko, Irina Kolpakova, choreographer George Balanchine, and professional dancers in almost every company in the world.
Vaganova system is the natural development and continuation of the traditions of the Russian school of ballet.
In the early 1900’s, Agrippina Vaganova developed her own system of teaching based on her knowledge of Dance which she learned at the Russian Imperial Ballet Academy (now named the Vaganova Ballet Academy). It gave birth to the new Russian style and today is used as the basis of ballet training both in Russia and in the West. Her system took elements from the graceful French school and the more athletic Italian school (Cecchetti), and added to them the dramatic soulfulness of the Russian national character.
We have been following Vaganova methodology throughout our teaching career what has been reflected in the success of our students.
